Traditional, old school, scripted, word perfect presentations, devoid of personality no longer connect with people. It is not enough to inform, it is vital to inspire. Powerful compelling logic, must be matched with completely authentic delivery to ensure any chance of success. One size, rules based approaches to presentation skills development don’t work. Skills vs Self-belief.
Over 35 years of observing and coaching highly intelligent, well educated and aspirational people has shone a bright light on what holds people back. It can be skill gaps. There is no question of this.
However, at all levels within business it is very often a person’s own sense of self-belief that gets in their way. For some it’s situational. For many it’s a constant theme and interference in all that they do. The consequence is that investing solely in skills based development can have a disappointing ROI. Unlocking self belief is the equivalent to turbo charging an extraordinary engine, resulting in completely different performance metrics, from motivation, participation, activity levels, goal achievement, and even greater happiness.

English as a
Second Language.
Learning English as a second language is an achievement in itself. It is a most confusing and complex language. That said, many people master the vocabulary side of the task. However, their mastery of words is often disguised by their lack of pronunciation clarity.
This is tragic. Often people are not recognised as having the knowledge they truly do have. They lose confidence, and often hold themselves back from contributing to workplace discussions. They are often passed over for promotion and further opportunities.

We coach people in ‘Self-belief’. At any level, we have found this is often the missing ingredient that will prevent people from maximising their potential in any or all areas of performance, and when addressed can be life changing for the individual, their organisation and anyone with whom they engage.
